Kate Carter (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City.  She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system.  There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.  As the storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler, Javi and their crews find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.

Starring:  Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Perea Brandon, Maura Tierney, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, David Corenswet, Tunde Adebimpe, Katy O’Brian

“With Edgar-Jones and Powell’s fizzing appeal at its epicentre, Twisters at once feels like a testament to a new generation of stars and a gripping old-school movie event.  Fear it.  Watch it.”  (Beth Webb, Empire)

“For a sequel to a nearly 30-year-old movie, Twisters miraculously stands out against the modern blockbuster landscape.  Just like Twister did back in 1996.  It’s the rare legacy sequel done right.”  (William Bibbiani, TheWrap)

“Even if Chung [director] does leave us wanting just a little bit more romance, he delivers a supremely entertaining summer blockbuster in Twisters, one with a thematic heft that makes it even better than expected, and better than the first.”  (Katie Walsh, Los Angeles Times)
