Lee portrays a pivotal decade in the life of American war correspondent and photographer, Lee Miller (Kate Winslet).  Miller’s singular talent and unbridled tenacity resulted in some of the 20th century’s most indelible images of war, including an iconic photo of Miller herself, posing defiantly in Hitler’s private bathtub.  Miller had a profound understanding and empathy for women and the voiceless victims of war.  Her images display both the fragility and ferocity of the human experience.  Above all, the film shows how Miller lived her life at full-throttle in pursuit of truth, for which she paid a huge personal price, forcing her to confront a traumatic and deeply buried secret from her childhood.

Starring: Kate Winslet, Andy Samberg, Alexander Skarsgård, Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Noémie Merlant, Josh O’Connor, James Murray, Arinzé Kene, Vincent Colombe, Patrick Mille, Camilla Aiko, Samuel Barnett, Zita Hanrot, Seán Duggan, Enrique Arce, Marinko Prga, Orlando Seale

“Filmed in England, Hungary and Croatia, Lee is a vivid and unforgettable tribute to one of the bold women who devoted her life to the penetration of male dominance to change the way we see the world.  Don’t even think about missing it.”  (Rex Reed, Observer)

Lee is beautiful, daring, and elusive, as all great art should be.  It’s a fitting tribute to a woman whose work exhibited the same qualities.”  (Andy Howell, Film Threat)

“…Lee still features one of the year-to-date’s best performances, honouring a woman who needs to be remembered, along with a sober consideration of the roles of women in wartime.”  (Liam Lacey, Original-Cin)
